The Best Gym Fitness Equipment for Cardio Workouts
How do you know which is the best cardio equipment for you? Below are some questions to ask before buying.
Do you enjoy the cardio machine?
Make sure you enjoy the equipment you are buying, because getting fit is not that easy a task! If you enjoy or at least hate less a specific cardio machine, then it might be the one for you. If you don’t quite enjoy a cardio machine, you might find yourself using it less and less and therefore not achieve your fitness goals.
Is the cardio machine consistent with your goals?
If you want to burn fat, improve, and/or maintain your cardiovascular fitness, a good cardio machine will help you. If your goals are performance related, you should use a cardio machine which most closely relates to your desired activity. For instance, if you are a marathon runner, then majority of your cardio exercise should be running. This does not mean that you shouldn’t use other cardio machines such as the stationary bike.
Is the cardio machine conducive for a good workout?
While you can get a cardiovascular benefit from each cardio machine, some machines are just more difficult to work out in. Make sure your cardio machine is of quality and conducive for your preferred workout.
Does the cardio machine aggravate any physical problems?
When using cardio machines, the saying “everything in moderation” holds true. Take note that performing the same motion over and over again may lead to muscle imbalances which in turn could lead to static and dynamic posture problems. Find the machine that best fits your lifestyle. If you sit all day at work, the stationary bike might not be the best choice for a cardio machine. If you have bad knee problems, the stair master might do more harm than good.
